(More customer reviews)I would give it 4 stars, unfortunately I'm not really liking how the the tuner automatically tries to tune in HD stations if it detects the signal on the channel your listening to.
This means when you tune a station if it detects an HD signal it will automaticaly switch to HD mode. If the signal fades while in HD mode it automatically switches back to analog.While this sounds good in theory, it's actually really annoying and sounds pretty bad.
They should have a switch or setting to disable this. HD sounds great, but not when it's switching back and forth between signals on it's own.I'd rather listen to a bit of static than the breakup as it keeps changing. Let me choose the signal to use.
Other than that, the radio seems pretty good for the money.Sounds better than my OEM.Probably has more features than I'll actually use, but I figured for the cost I'd give it a try.
Also, I found my radio doesn't seem to recognize disc's I make with Nero, but if you use the built in Windows burning software in XP, it works just fine.There's probably a setting I need to change in Nero, but it's easy enough to drag, drop and burn the MP3's to a blank disk with Windows Explorer.I like that I can get way more MP3's on a disc than just burning a regular music CD.
